Effective conversation/communication is necessary everywhere, either in personal life or in professional life. Most of us are working on this and they are gradually improving. Actually things are correlated. Every word has meaning. And we forget to be cautious about the words. That is why the connection start to erode. And when we think about all this chronicle. We find that we made measly mistakes. But impact is wide.
Often people forget some basic and the most important points. those make a heavy impact on conversation. If you keep these in mind always. If you execute these in daily practice you will find some improvement automatically. Points are as follows:-
1). You must not be offensive:- Everyone has self respect and everyone has a break point where he can not bear things. You must respect him and his feelings. Do not try to offend anyone in order to show yourself superior. That may cause harm to relationship.Every action has reaction so try not do something bad.
2). Use jokes in sentences:- You must be a little wacky. People do not like to talk to a person who is a bore, even though they won't hate you for that. But people start to judge you and will reach on conclusion and you won't have a clue about that. So learn some jokes and use them in conversation. no one hates jokes.
3). Collect knowledge as much as you can:- Having knowledge is always good for anyone. You would have more things to talk about. It will make your conversation better. It will help you in being a good listener. Being a good listener enhance conversation skills.
4). Rationalize response/statement with question/truth:- There should be rationalization/truth in your statement and response. Yes, you can use exaggeration in your statement. You can not make someone fool with the heap of lies. People start to recognize your ostentatiousness soon And bear your false comments as long as you speak.
Rationalization means statement should be connected with the main stream of conversation. Example; someone asks you, "what is going on." and you replies, "I came to office."
5). Every person is a good person:- Never think that someone wants to harm you and your image. Because people don't do this. Every person has good learning. No family make its member a demon. They don't harm your image provided you don't hurt their self respect. things are correlated. Everyone is good if you are good to them.
6). Equality must be in your mind for the person:- Do not underestimate the person sitting next to you. You never know what he can do; if you are not over smart. He must be handled equally. It would be much better if you prefer him over yourself. It shows that you are very generous and you care. If you won't do so he will not like to talk to you again.
7). Avoid sensitive discussion:-Avoid sensitive discussion with the person sitting next to you. It leads to a mess. Discussion about religion, color, caste and gender etc are the topics those are sensitive. People have different thinking according to their perception and no one can change this. Do not try to intrude into their lives. It seems amture step to take and people start to skip these kind of persons.
8). Do not jealous:- Jealousy is something, you can not hide this feeling and everyone can notice this easily. It seems awkward and people avoid those who are jealous.
